ooc~taking my breath away
OOC: Private for Ashen and Starlight. Getting there powers.
ic~can't take my eyes away
Slowly the small femme walked, drifting along the forest. Green trees passed by as the small female started walking, small steps towards the sound she was nearing. A sigh escaped the femme’s lips as the thought about the one she had loved, the one that was named Ashen. Slowly a smile drifted daintily onto the femme’s lips as she thought about her one-true-love. Ashen, the blackened wolf which heart was blacker then his midnight pelt. Starlight had helped his heart become strong again and open up to the world and what was in it. The pain Starlight took from others, trying to help and cure the world, she had just saved a older male from killing himself after his younger mate, had left him for someone closer to his age. She had talked quietly and told him to try harder, he could find someone he loved again he just had to try. Finally after many hours the male said he wouldn’t kill himself and started off up to the mountain, Starlight secretly hoped that he would not just walk away and decide to jump off a cliff or something or another. She was a female that did not want others to kill themselves. She wanted light to shine in the darkest of places and believed in this great thing; hope. Every time something bad happened she would have faith in a little thing called hope. She had a very strong hope that everything would turn out to be all right and everything would fall into place, even if it took so many years and hours to complete. Everyone should have hope and if more people did, the world would be a much kinder place and people would not think they should or were going to die tomorrow and what not. They would have faith to live the best lives that they could.
Yet, even with her hope and way of talking she had darkness within her heart. She believed she had caused Moonlight’s death and she should have been the one to die instead of Moonlight risking her own life for Starlight and dying because of her mistake. Moonlight should have been able to live her life and not be in the great place of heaven now. But that had been in the past and she just couldn’t forget that she had caused the murder and then she was completely alone. Thank god she had met the Ashen or her life would have been forfeit and she would of walked alone forever in till her death. Even with Ashen being two years older then her. They still got along fine and she helped him and he helped her and soon, slowly but over a time of five – ten months they both managed to fall in love together and even though they were not ‘mates’ for he had not asked and there courtship had happened, at least they were in love and that made Starlight want to soar into the skies and into the clouds with a thing called love. She wanted to see Ashen again but she had been gone for so long looking at a land for both of them to share. Well she was worried that he left her or something like that. But in her heart she believed that he had not been doing that and was doing what he had said and looking for a home for both of them. She believed in her heart with that and with her thoughts fading she closed her eyes softly and opened them in the wide, wide world.
Slowly she begun to walk as the trees of green started to thin out and open up for the beautiful sun, the light of the world, to fall on there shoulders and open up the nice world. Then the world of the forests just ended and she was at the bottom of a beautiful and the largest waterfall she had seen. Her eyes gazed open wide mystic waterfall, tumbling over the rocks and into the deeps below. The water tumbled beautifully and landed making great music, which greatened her spirit. Her breath was held the first time she had seen the beautiful waterfall, which was heavenly. Slowly she worked her way to the calm water at the bottom of the beautiful waterfall and walked in to her ankles and smiled, again gazing at the falling waters with a sparkle in her eyes. Slowly she turned a little to the left and started walking into the water. At her knees high up with water, everything started happening at once. The water all of a sudden was filled with a bright golden color, the water it’s self was seemingly warm and shining with a golden appearance. All around she had to narrow her eyes for the light had filled the sky and everything around her. She was in a way frightened but deep in her heart she felt the warmth of 1000 suns falling into her heart and filling with the heat of the sun. She looked around and just the light filled her wounds and her needs and she felt almost perfect in the light as if she did not have to eat or sleep and just gaze at the beauty of the light that was all around her. Then all at once a soft voice echoed around, Starlight was not sure if it was just in her mind or in the real world itself. ”Starlight… My dear.”
At once she knew it was her Starfire. The one she called mother after hers was murdered. She slowly looked up but saw nothing but the goldenness of the light. Quickly the misses called out. ”Starfire is that you?” Her voice was just a whisper as she let it out of her voice box, but when her mouth opened and she spoke, no sound was let out. She had been silenced. But it was if Starfire knew what she was talking about and spoke in a warming tone. ”Yes my dear child it is me.” Starlight gasped and her head lowered down to the water as her nose touched the water, she bowed deeply for her alphess was returning but as she looked up slowly she felt a voice right next to her ear and a nuzzle from an unknown source that made her feel very warm inside. Then in a moment, Starfire’s voice echoed out inside her mind. ”My dear… dear…” She whispered. Starlight was now feeling like she was going to faint and slowly climbed onto a rock where the light seemed to glow the most around the area. At once she felt the presence of Starfire next to her and then spoke softly. ”I have missed you… I am –“ But she was cut off as Starfires voice echoed in her mind. ”Starlight close your eyes.’ Obeying her alpha she closed her eyes confused and then she felt a paw touch her forehead and a soft voice whispering. ”Go to sleep my dear. Sleep… Go to sleep my dear. Sleep… Sleep… Sleep.” Then as if a light bulb turned out in her mind, she gently fell into a nice calming sleep.
--- Dreams ---
Slowly her eyes pulled open and she looked around in a lightened paradise, looking around, all of a sudden a great wolf with wings floated down to the earth. Quickly she ran forward almost in a dancing joy as she ran forward and leaped in the grasses and flowers in which she had appeared in. ”Hello dear.” Came the voice from the whitened femme who stood before her. Instantly she ran forward and snuggled up to her adoptive mother with pride. ”Starfire. How are you? Where am I? What’s up? What happened to you?” She spoke quickly as the questions jumbled up in her head in confusion. ”Dear. I cannot awnser you questions for time is short. I can only give you a gift before I am sent back to the new world.” Confused and ready to speak as her mouth opened, Starfire placed her paw up and she quickly silenced. She wanted to know what world? Gifts? Why? All these questions were working her way though her mind at a very quick rate, which she could not stop and finally after what seemed minutes in silence Starfire, spoke again. ”You were always like a daughter to be Starlight. A daughter that I never had, I want to bless you with the light.” Starlight had no idea what she was saying but she just raised her eyebrow as the silenced went on but then the wings and the light that always shined around her fell away and Starfire fell to the ground in pain. Starlight rushed to her side quickly and kneed before her. ”I must go now… I love you daughter.” She started to disappear and without another thought a tear dripped down her eyes and Starlight spoke softly. ”I love you too mother.” Then as the last bits of Starfire vanished, the world cracked and split open, sending her to the deeps below.
She was in a darkened place, stones of all different colors shined around. Blue, green, red, purple. It was a world of stones and Starlight was very confused. But a voice pulled her forward. starrrlight… starrrlight… The voice spoke as Starlight couldn’t control herself and she moved forward in interest and fear. Slowly she began to get close to yellow stone, a stone brighter then all the rest that shined and sparkled. It was beautiful as the voice suddenly changed. closer… closer my child. the voice was eerie and made her want to run away but her body did not listen to her and she bent down. Her body slowly came closer and closer to the stone, which spoke. dear. Do not be afraid. Then her nose got close enough to spell the right which spelt so beautiful. She was worried that the stone was evil and would pull her into a place she did not want to go. She was worried this is what took her new mother away and didn’t want that to happen to her. Even with the calm words she tried to back away her body didn’t move. The stone was cursing her and wouldn’t let her to move and her mind was screaming angrily. She couldn’t move and the fear was beginning to leak out as her eyes narrowed and a tear dipped out and touched the light stone. The stone sizzed and the light glowed brighter. commee on child… its okkkk. Then her body moved just a little closer and her nose touched the stone.
A sudden burst of light blossomed around her as sudden pain filled with every movement of her body. The pain felt like hundreds of needles working her way into her body at a torturing rate. As she whipped her head from the sudden pain all she saw was a lightened blur which cased her mind to fill with clouds unable to think other then the pain of it all. The pain was just growing further and further. It was getting way to much for her to bare and even with all the strength she had, the pain was being felt almost of being shocked by the heaven’s rays (lightning) from above and all she could feel was the pain and her bones breaking and twitching. Her mind then shut out all the pain and her head rolled to the ground as passed out as all can be. Being passed out in her dreams was different. It felt almost like it had happened in the real world and she had not been dreaming. But she heard Starfire’s voice and felt her maw on her cheek. She had heard the tones of speaking in which Starfire had wanted to give her something, not immortality though; she had no idea what it was. Starfire had always spoke of it being a blessing but a deadly curse for many different reasons and she wondered deeply why, why that Starfire wanted her to be gifted in either way. Slowly without warning her eyes opened and the pain had stopped.
welcome starlight… welcome light immortal.
--- End of dreams ---
Slowly her eyes begun to open and Starlight stretched out like nothing had happened. Woah did she been having the weirdest dreams of all. She shook her head slightly and tossed it back and forth not seeing anything new. She looked down at herself and noticed just a star marking on her forehead. She at first thought she was just dreaming, or day dreaming at least, or maybe just imagining it. Then a voice echoed right into the air, loud and commanding. ”I change thee to what is birth right.” Then the strange voice filled with ancient and words with no understanding into the air. Again the pain filled her but it was different. Her skin was breaking apart and lines were being burned around her eyes. Her whole appearance was changing. She fell to the ground in sudden pain and shock as the pain grew and then slowly faded away. The change made her stare at herself for many minutes past. A simple she-wolf with no future, a worse past and no family, and now… this.
Around her eyes, swirls had turned into a black and yellow mixed color, her eyes had changed yellow and she had a star that stated on her forehead. Her tips of her ears had been a brightened yellow and lines had come up, from her feet up to her legs. Everything about her had changed but even though that it was one thing that made her stand out. Along her sides, fanning out were two wings, wings that were able to fly and go into the air and spin. It was the wings of yellow in which she realized what she was and what had happened throughout it all. The first pain was getting the info and blood of it all and this was her appearance. As she stared into the lake, not believing this day had come, not believing that she had become what her mother was. ”Mother.” She whispered looking up to the sky. Her dream was completely true and know, homeless pup with no family. Starlight was now light immortal. With that she knew she must have granted the rank of alphess.
Under her breath she just lightly gasped at what had happened. She just closed her eyes for a moment and sat down. She was powerful, master of electricity, light and healing. She wanted to shout with joy but inside she felt completely changed. All she wanted to do was see Ashen but Ashen was nowhere to be found. Slowly she looked around to see nothing but the waterfall. With that she did the only thing she could think of. She let her wings fan out across and then she leaped, hoping flying would come as natural to her as running. Well that did not happen for once she begun her journey upward; she lost control and started turning at a downward angle to the left and almost crashed into a tree. Slowly regaining the lost attitude. She looked down at the world below and felt a sense of unknown pleasure and a fear. Slowly she begun to descend as a bunch of windy weather quickly knocked her from her upward position to a upside-down one. Slowly she touched the rock carefully as she thought of the speed and what to descend. But again she was wrong and went head first into the pool of water. Slowly climbing out she looked around. She had changed, but everything would be worthless without her dear Ashen

...[if you can look past the darkness]...
Improvision is not as good as cupcakes, but what the hey.
...[i'm just the shadow of the light]...
It had been too long. It was almost like a tear through his heart, wondering when or if he would see her again. Something inside of him needed it, willed it, had to have it. There could be no other way. He needed to once again see her, or this feeling inside, the way he felt without her would remain. He wouldn't last. His Starlight, the reason the stars even had light at all. There was not anything he selfishly desired more than to see her, to know she was alive, that she was well. This had been on his mind the moment he had left, which he had only done for her sake. To keep her and the others from being involved in his past. Now that it was over, he just needed to see her, to know she was all right. Maybe try to explain why he had left her. He had never felt this way before and most of the things I could describe he did not understand consciously.
Even with the darkness in his life, she came from seemingly nowhere and changed everything. He would have died without her. She was so beautiful...such a beautiful soul.
Ashen paced quickly. He was hungry, but the pangs inside him did not register. He had hardly focused on anything but travel in a while. He simply kept wandering, searching, praying. Following only the need to see her again. It would probably seem only ridiculous to others if they knew. But he didn't expect anyone to understand. If they only knew. But none of that mattered. None of those things mattered. Just finding her, above all things. Whatever she saw in him he did not understand, but he only knew she was everything he needed. And he needed her now.
Almost everything was a blur. Trees, other greenery. Lush forestry he had no time to appreciate. Why he did not fully understand. He hardly had a thought these days. He needed to know she was all right. He glanced down in a subtle manner, watching his front legs moving back and forth as he walked. It made him a little dizzy, so he looked back up, his pale golden eyes slightly glazed with little focus. Perhaps he needed to rest, but that also did not register to him. Again his mind wandered. Bushes, tree limbs, thorns. Leaves. Grass. Dirt. Starlight. His pack. Starfire. Nowicki. The immortals. Starlight.
Ashen was almost ready to collapse just for the sake of it, just because he had nothing else to do, nothing else to lose. Nothing made since anymore. He was almost losing his mind just in search of her. But something pushed him on. Like a magnet, he was drawn forward by something. An attraction he needed to discover. Suddenly his thoughts were trying to compose themselves again. Almost there. Almost what? What was he searching for? What was bringing him here? His legs were sore.
What was he doing. What was he going to do. What was the purpose for this anymore. Questions his mind asked him but he completely ignored. It was all for her. Living on. Searching on. For her. He knew he would find her. He had to.
He spotted someone. Actually, he had smelled them first. He saw a wolf finally. It was almost amazing. Ashen's vision was still slightly blurred, but he blinked hard to try to clear his mind and his sight. A female. A gray female. But not just any. She had golden-yellow wings flowing out of her back, and there were strange markings on her face. He could have sworn...her scent seemed so familiar...and she looked a lot like...but she couldn't have been her. This was an immortal. One he did not recognize.
He stepped a few paces closer. "An immortal," he said softly, bowing with hardly any enthusiasm at all. This couldn't be Starlight. "Sorry if I'm interrupting. I was...I've been looking for someone." Ashen spoke yet again, his mind on Starlight particularly and not the immortal that stood before him, despite the fact that they were actually one in the same. "I thought you were her for a moment, but I must have been mistaken." Ashen truly did want to collapse now. It felt as if finding her was becoming more hopeless with every wolf he found here. 'Starlight...where are you...I need you...'

ooc~taking my breath away
OOC: my first post took too long. It look like four hours o_o
ic~can't take my eyes away
Eyes set in front of her she slowly took in at her new surroundings. Even being a wolf with great vision, smell and hearing. This was much different; her site was different, brighter and could catch the ways the light falling and little bugs she would of missed. Her hearing she felt as if she could hear the animals speak even though she had no idea what they were saying in there own language. She only knew the wolf language and the forest language, which all the other wolves knew. But even her smell was stronger it seemed as she felt as if she knew there was a bunch of flowers just over that hill. Everything was almost a blur to her as she spun around in peace and joy of it all.
Why was she blessed? She had no idea. She did not understand why the other immortals had ever thought this as a curse. How could have wings, alpha powers, powers beyond glory and much much more. How could anyone even think that being an immortal was bad? She was pleased, more then pleased, she was extremely shocked, happy and ready to take off and brag to others. Brag and tell everyone that she had became and immortal! But something, she had no idea; something was keeping her by the beautiful waterfall.
Then a new scent of a wolf started to flow though her nose. She turned and found nothing but her hackles had rose. Even just learning her power and knowing nothing about it. She still knew this wolf could be a threat like any others. As something like a minute past she begun to hear the footsteps of the wolf as she watched carefully though narrow slits. Then it was as if she ran into a brick wall. She knew that scent ever too well. Her tail begun to wag as her head as her fur fell back to the normal state. That was the male she loved, that was her mate-to-be. That was Ashen!
”An immortal.” Spoke Ashen in shock. Yes! He did recognize her all too well and her tail gently wagged faster. Even their love and her change. He still could know who she was. Then that bow, she stood there shocked. No! No! Don’t bow to me. I’m Starlight remember! She screamed it in her mind as her smile faded quickly. "Sorry if I'm interrupting. I was...I've been looking for someone." Her tail slowly stopped wagging, she didn’t like this new respect. She opened her mouth but found no words to flow out. "I thought you were her for a moment, but I must have been mistaken." She looked at him and spoke one single word. ”Ashen…”
It was like her world was falling to bits. One single tear rolled down her eye as she stared at him. ”Ashen…” She whispered again. ”It’s me… Its me Starlight.” She said walking slowly to him and touching her maw with his. ”It’s me… Ashen… me starlight.” She again whisper as she nuzzled his maw and his neck quietly.

...[if you can look past the darkness]...
I knew this would happen! >:D I'm so evil.
...[i'm just the shadow of the light]...
Ashen waited a moment, watching the immortal. He wasn't sure what it was about her, but she seemed too familiar. As if something was threatening to bite him but he couldn't quite place which direction it was coming from. She seemed too much like Starlight. He almost wanted to hate her because it felt like she was teasing him, but there was also a strange lingering feeling inside that this wolf might have been Starlight after all. 'My Starlight? An immortal? Could it be?' He wondered.
Then she spoke his name. "Ashen. It's me...it's me Starlight." He stood still in shock. A tear went down her face and he wanted to scream. From joy, fear, anticipation, despair. Everything. Anything. 'Starlight! STARLIGHT! STARLIGHT!' His mind was screaming as if he could never comprehend to say it. She neared him and their muzzles touched. ”It’s me… Ashen… me starlight.” He recognized her touch. He knew inside he had found her at last. But he could also feel her disappointment when he did not know it was her.
"Starlight! STARLIGHT!" he finally managed to cry, nuzzling her with the most enthusiasm he had given in probably his whole life. "Starlight! Starlight...!" Many other words were lost in his vocabulary, now he could only think of Starlight. But then also came the realization she was ... new. An immortal. "I knew it was you! You're an immortal Starlight! I...oh, Starlight...you have no idea...I've looked for you for so long...!!" He had found her and he was so full of energy now that he was resisting the urge to fall over yet again, but he probably would in a short matter of time nontheless.
'The stars seem so close, like I could almost touch them,' the thought came from nowhere. Without knowing it, his own eyes were shedding water. It was the only thing he knew to do to express everything he was feeling, even though he wasn't trying to. 'My Starlight...my Starlight....' Starlight. An immortal. A powerful being. An alpha. ...Wait. Did that mean she had a mate!? An alphess with an alpha by her side?? Ashen felt a twinge hit him like bricks. What if he had been gone too long? She had moved on and found someone new?
'No...not my Starlight...I must have faith...please say that she loves me...I want her to be happiest but...oh, I'm a selfish bastard...Starlight....' Of course, he said nothing of this idea. He would wait to find out. He couldn't ask her or mention to her something like that. That would be a fault on his shoulders. What else would one expect when you'd been gone so long? But despite his wishes for her he was still selfishly wishing his Starlight was for him only...

...[if you can look past the darkness]...
Haha, idea.
...[i'm just the shadow of the light]...
Ashen was so happy. So overjoyed he could faint. In fact...
"Oh, Starlight. You're everything to me." He said softly, looking into her beautiful golden eyes, his own shimmering a brief moment with what looked like a dark cloud going across the sun and disappearing in a second. "Starlight, would you..." he broke off weakly. "Would...you...." Before he could finish his sentence, he fell over, perhaps from exhaustion or perhaps from something else. But his thoughts went blank as he lay there, slipping into a dream that no one else could know he was having.
Unknowing to his outer physical body's whereabouts, he opened his eyes weakly. This made no difference. Everything was darkness, and there was no sign of light anywhere. It felt almost as if he had fallen into the deep blackness of his own pupils, and he felt nothing but stone-cold floor beneath his fur and skin. He instinctively opened his eyes wide but there was not a shred of light to help him see even his own nose.
"Starlight?" was all he could managed to say, but a voice started so abruptly it almost interrupted him. "There is no Starlight here. Only darkness. Only what you will become." Ashen was shocked and almost frightened. "What have you done with Starlight...what is this...??" He questioned the voice, speaking out into the blackness in an almost crazed manner.
"There is nothing to fear. You are only in the dark. You will not fear it. It is a part of you." Ashen could see no figures in the deep blackness. "You have no shadow. You are your own." Ashen was disturbed and confused. "What are you talking about? What does this mean? Where has Starlight gone?" He again spoke frantically.
Ashen began to lift his body up, standing. His pupils contracted and suddenly things were becoming slowly more visible. He could see his nose, and his fur was standing out a bit, but nothing else but him seemed to exist. Suddenly, a black jewel floated a few feet ahead of him, glinting almost maliciously despite the strange fact that there was no light, which made Ashen wonder why he could see at all. "This is your destiny. There is no turning back. Come forth and become what you must."
Ashen was unsure, but the black jewel was almost magnetic. He wanted to step forth and get nearer to it, but his instincts were screaming that things just did not seem right. "You must finally fulfill the true darkness your soul was meant to become. Step forth, for you are the shadows. The dark is now yours."
Ashen did not understand the voice, nor was he sure of whom it was, but for some reason he stepped forward. He got closer to the jewel. He stared hard at it, and somehow his nose touched to it. Then everything happened too fast to comprehend.
He was engulfed by blackness, which made the place he had previously been in (when he could partly see) seem gray. He could feel some sort of pressure with it, bubbling and rippling across his entire being. It felt almost as if his soul was being ripped out. As if all feeling but every feeling possible was affecting him. Then if felt as if it jettisoned itself inside of him.
Things felt a little real again. He opened his eyes, but they felt a burning sensation for a moment. Unknown to him, his once yellow irises turned black, and his pupils changed completely to white. Glossy black wings ripped from his back and he was tempted to cry out, but his voice could utter nothing. And, like the voice had said before, he had absolutely no shadow at all. As if light touching him was nonexistant.
"Starlight...are you there...I...." he spoke softly, a silver necklace forming around his neck with a black jewel attached. He looked around, as his vision slowly faded from the shrouded dark blobs it had been before to regular, but strong, vision. He felt strong than he had before. Vision sharper. Touch magnified. "Starlight, I see you now."
He raised his body from the ground, involuntarily stretching his wings that he suddenly realized were there. "Star...I think that..." He looked toward her softly, a smile slowly spreading across his face like butter on toast. In a short moment he pounced at her, softening the impact with his wings. "Starlight...would you do me the honor...to be my mate?"

Starlight watched slowly as they exchanged vows of never leaving, nuzzled and licked each other like they hadn’t seen each other for months. Well they hadn’t duh! "Oh, Starlight. You're everything to me." She just smiled and nuzzled him again. ”And you are anything and everything to me.” She whispered whole heartily. "Starlight, would you...Would...you...." She watched him carefully wanted to say what what tell me! But then. He fainted, passed out; he fell to the ground without movement. She screamed, her scream echoed the waterfall as she fell forward and looked around, she didn’t know how to heal and she couldn’t see that anything was wrong. Tears were slipping from her eyes. Why did he just pass out like that with no warning at all. Nothing was making sense and she hated that feeling ever so much.
Then without warning he began to turn. Minutes past in silence and then he cried out in his sleep and all at once it was as if he started to change. Something was coming out of his back and she moved away. She didn’t know how to use her powers at all and here his mate was dying right before her very eyes and she could not do anything to save his life. Tears now fell quickly and she could hardly breath from the snobs escaping. How could anything like this happen right after they met for so very long apart?
Then his eyes opened and Starlight almost screamed with joy, She looked at him but he didn’t speak, a necklace had formed around her neck and she was staring at it, then he arose like nothing had happened and she saw he had no shadow. Then her gaze fell forward, two blackened wings had came from his back. "Starlight...are you there...I...." She moved forward and whispered ”Yes. I am here. She whispered then he spoke again. "Starlight, I see you now." She nodded her head.
She was staring into the heavens. She was talking to herself, looking down at him then backs up talking more. Then slowly she looked at him. ”The gods have answered our prayers.” She whispered to herself mostly. Even if immortal and immortal had to mate. He was now one like her. "Star...I think that.. Starlight...would you do me the honor...to be my mate?" That stopped her thoughts. ”Yes… yes. I would love to.” She said quickly. How could dark and light be together? It had been another couple before so it was true. But how?
